Summer is around the corner, and TARTA’s programs and Special Event Transportation can provide an affordable ride to what makes this time of year special in Toledo and the surrounding area.

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) sees an open line of communication as crucial to serving its community and the vendors it does business with. As such, we are taking steps to streamline this process, to ensure that all communications reach the appropriate department in a timely manner.

5307 Federal Fiscal Year Update

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) and the Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a free workshop to offer guidance to small businesses hoping to work with TARTA on projects in 2024 and beyond, in addition to rolling out updates to its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program. 

The Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) is proud to put riders in touch with the area’s best events with special event transportation, including the Mercy Health Glass City Marathon.  

For this Earth Day and the ones to come, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA) continues to make progress on its TARTA Zero initiative, an effort to add electric vehicles to both the paratransit and fixed-route fleets.

Cost will not be a barrier to young northwest Ohioans enjoying everything this
community has to offer this summer, as the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority
(TARTA) and community partners bring back the Youth Summer Blast Pass.

As its next step in making certain that the great things about northwest Ohio are accessible to everyone, the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority’s (TARTA) paratransit division has become the first transit agency department in Ohio to become a Certified Autism Center™. 

Congratulations and thank you to two vital members of Team TARTA who retired in February. 

A routine service call on a TARPS vehicle became anything but that for one TARTA mechanic, who went above and beyond to help a stranger Feb. 6 outside of Walmart on Toledo’s Central Avenue. 

During Ohio Loves Transit Week (Feb. 11-17), Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced grant funding to support $106 million in local transit projects across the state, more than $3 million of which was awarded to the Toledo Area Regional Transit Authority (TARTA).
